The Charles City RAGBRAI logo incorporates several new and old icons special to Charles City. The "dude" on the recumbent bike is Chuck. He is a mascot for Charles City who is everyone's friend. The bridge is an artist’s depiction of a new cable-stayed bridge under construction in Charles City spanning the Cedar River. It will stand where a century old suspension bridge was washed away in the flood of 2008. Finally the kayaker symbolizes a new white water course being developed on the Cedar River in Charles City. All come together to symbolize a mix of new opportunities for family fun in Charles City.
